ILOCOS REGION. The Philippine Statistics Authority-Regional Statistical Services Office I conducted Appreciation Training on Civil Registration to its stakeholders on 21 February 2024 as part of its Civil Registration Services advocacy program.

Representatives from various Regional Line Agencies and employees of PSA-RSSO I and its Provincial Statistical Offices participated in the said training which aimed to enhance the knowledge and appreciation of the participants to the laws and procedures relative to civil registration. RO IV Zenaida L. Garcillan discussed about the 2023-2028 Philippine CRVS Strategic Plan and Overview on Marriage Laws and Registration of Marriage.

Meanwhile, SS II Joseph E. Estoesta discussed about Birth Registration, while RO IV Reynante B. Bautista presented about Republic Act 9048 and Republic Act 10172. An open forum was also conducted for every topic discussed.

Among the impressions gathered from the participants was their appreciation of the various civil registration laws and policies which they deemed important to everyone. They also mentioned that they will impart the knowledge they gained to their colleagues. They further encouraged the PSA to conduct more appreciation trainings to their stakeholders. On the other hand, OIC-CSS Teresa B. Olarte thanked all the participants for coming to the event.
