The Philippine Statistics Authority - Pangasinan Provincial Statistical Office is dedicated to increase the number of registrations for the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys). PSA Pangasinan implemented the Registration on Wheels, launched as PhilSys Pangasinan on Wheels. In this mode of mobile registration, PSA Field Offices are authorized to conduct house-to-house registration aimed to scout qualified registrants and assist these remaining unregistered individuals, including children aged 5 to 14 years old. In addition, the activity gave way to register those unregistered persons who are physically incapable of going to the nearest Registration Center, such as but not limited to Senior Citizens, Persons with Disability, and people who are bedridden.
Determined to reach the target goal, PSA Pangasinan conducted the registration on wheels in different barangays in Calasiao, Sta. Barbara, Dagupan City, Mangaldan, San Carlos City, Villasis, Rosales, and Urdaneta City. The activity strategically increased the number of registrations in the province during the last quarter of 2023.
Committed to registering 92 million Filipinos by June 2024, PSA Pangasinan proactively engaged to adopt strategies to attain the target goal and establish a valid proof of identity for all Filipinos and resident aliens as a means of simplifying public and private transactions.
