The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – La Union Provincial Statistical Office joins the Danggayan 2023 of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of San Juan, La Union from February 7, 2023 until March 28, 2023.

The Danggayan 2023 is an annual activity conducted by LGU San Juan with the aim to extend the basic services to the residents in their respective barangays. The conduct of the activity is pursuant to the provisions of the Local Government Code which mandates the LGUs to visit their component barangays and deliver services for at least once a year.

LGU San Juan partnered with PSA-La Union and PSA-Regional Statistical Services Office I (RSSO I) to conduct PhilSys Birth Registration Assistance Project (PBRAP) in 41 scheduled barangays in their municipality during the Danggayan. The PBRAP is one the major programs of the PSA to ensure that all births of Filipinos are registered in the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) and that they will be enrolled with the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys). It also aims to increase the level of civil registration especially in marginalized communities such as those belonging to the Indigenous People, Muslim Filipinos, and the poorest sector in the country and to ensure that they have their PhilIDs that will serve as their gateway in claiming social benefits.

Among other services offered during the Danggayan 2023 include Medical-Dental Mission, Sim Card Registration, Social Security Services (SSS) Contribution Payment, Mass Wedding, and Anti-rabies vaccination.

The conduct of the Danggayan 2023 is scheduled every Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Hence, PBRAP Agent Estephanie S. Hufana of PSA-La Union joins the LCRO of San Juan in the conduct of PBRAP mobile registration in the said days of the week.

As of February 10, 2023, 90 birth records have been submitted for verification through the PBRAP, of which a total of three registrants from LGU San Juan have successfully completed the PBRAP registration with a birth certificate printed in Security Paper (SecPa).
