Hats off to the workforce of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – La Union!

PSA-La Union captured the 2nd place in the provincial category of the 2021 PSA Awards.  The provincial office was also awarded special awards: 1^st place -  Best in Statistical Planning and Coordination and 5^th Place - Best in Information Dissemination.   Dr. Danites E. Teñido, Chief Statistical Specialist of PSA – La Union, received said awards for the provincial office during the PSA Awards Night on July 28, 2022 at Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria, Quezon City which was attended by officials from PSA Central Office, Regional Statistical Services Offices (RSSOs), and Provincial Statistical Offices (PSOs). 

The PSA Awards continue to recognize exemplary performances of PSA Field Offices.  The top 15 performing provinces were given recognition for the provincial category while the top five performing regions were awarded in the regional category. 

The top five provinces on Statistical Operations; Civil Registration; Financial, Human Resource and Administrative Service; Information Dissemination; Statistical Planning and Coordination; and Partnership and Linkages were also awarded. In the regional category, the top three regions in the said areas were also awarded.  Special Award on Statistical Frameworks and Indicators System were also given to top three regions.

In the provincial category, the top 15 performing provinces were:  Quirino,
La Union, Zambales, Benguet, Camarines Norte, Leyte, Sorsogon, Catanduanes, Quezon, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Laguna, Nueva Vizcaya, and Rizal.

In the regional category, the top five performing regions were: Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Region I (Ilocos Region), Region V (Bicol Region), MIMAROPA, and Region VIII (Eastern Visayas).
