14 February 2023 – SAN NICOLAS, ILOCOS NORTE. In line with the celebration of the 33rd Civil Registration Month, PSA- Ilocos Norte Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) organized a civil registration consultation and Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) registration at Robinsons Ilocos on 07-14 February 2023.
The activity, in partnership with Robinsons Ilocos, aims to assist clients in their Civil Registration and PhilSys concerns. Specifically, services offered by the agency include: a) Assistance in the correction of civil registry documents b) delayed registration c) securing civil registry documents d) PhilSys registration and e) issuance of printable electronic Philippine ID (ePhilID).
With this activity, the PSO was able to register 25 individuals in the PhilSys Step 2 registration and issued 65 ePhilIDs. The launching of the Civil Registry System- Information Technology Project Phase II (CRS ITP2) and the opening of the CRS outlet at its new location was also disseminated to the clients and shoppers.
The CRM primarily aims to remind the citizenry of their duty to register acts and events concerning status of persons, enhance nationwide awareness and appreciation of the legal, administrative and statistical values of civil registry documents, and underscore the necessity for Congress to provide adequate funds for enforcement and administration of laws on civil registration.
With this year’s theme, “PSA @ 10: Providing Efficient and Effective Civil Registration and Vital Statistics through Digital Transformation”, the Provincial Statistical Office encourages its partners and key players of civil registration, and the general public to support the activities and new projects of PSA geared towards improving CRVS services throughout the country.
