The Philippine Statistics Authority- Ilocos Norte Provincial Statistical Office in partnership with Barangay No. 3, San Pedro, Vintar conducted a clean-up drive at Bislak river on February 12, 2022 as part of the celebration of the 32nd Civil Registration Month.
The activity which aims to inculcate the importance of a well-rounded and ecofriendly community was attended by regular personnel, contract of service workers and statistical researchers of the Provincial Statistical Office. By participating in the clean-up, attendees were able to appreciate waste management and the adoption of best practices such as recycling and proper segregation as these will have a profound effect in the community.
Aside from its goal of bringing together the workforce to contribute in a clean and green campaign, the social responsibility also geared towards strengthening the cooperation and good rapport of the employees outside their usual works.
Chief Statistical Specialist Marilyn P. Vergara stressed the importance of good working relationship and involvement in social activities to achieve the goals of every mandate, program and celebration of the agency.
“As we exert efforts in delivering our services, we must also extend our helping hand to support the activities of the local government since they will be our partners in our future programs and projects”, CSS Vergara added.
The Provincial Statistical Office received a Certificate of Appreciation from Brgy. San Pedro, Vintar, Ilocos Norte as gratitude for the valuable time and contribution of the agency in achieving a clean and green environment.
