The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Ilocos Norte Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) will conduct the enumeration for the February 2025 Labor Force Survey (LFS) across Ilocos Norte from 08 to 25 February 2025. In preparation, a third-level training session was held on 05-06 February 2025 at the PSO Ilocos Norte training room.

The survey is led by the Provincial Focal Person Ms. Francisca D. Luis, with two enumerators, and under the supervision of Chief Statistical Specialist Ms. Marilyn P. Vergara. This statistical undertaking is part of the PSA’s ongoing efforts to collect and analyze critical labor force data that will inform policies and programs aimed at improving local employment opportunities.

The LFS will target a sample of 98 systematically selected households in six specific enumeration areas in Ilocos Norte, which are in: Barangay Salsalamagui, Vintar; Barangay Sulongan, Pasuquin; Barangay Ablan, Burgos; Barangay Cabaroan, Pinili; Barangay Sulquiano, Dingras; and Barangay Ver, Dingras.

The goal of the survey is to gather data that will provide a clearer understanding of labor market conditions, including employment rates, types of occupations, hours worked, and workforce trends. The results of this survey will help the government make informed decisions regarding regional economic development and labor force strategies.

PSO Ilocos Norte encourages residents in the selected enumeration areas to fully cooperate with the enumerators during the survey period. Participation of respondents is essential in ensuring accurate data collection, which will ultimately support efforts to improve labor market conditions in Ilocos Norte.
