Marriage ceremonies decrease by 48 percent  

• There was a decrease of 48 percent in the registered marriages from November 2019 to November 2020 or from 1,023 to 527. 
• All provinces in the region decreased in the number of registered marriages from 2019 to 2020.  
• Ilocos Norte showed the biggest decrease in the number of registered marriages  at 59 percent.
• Pangasinan had the most number of registered marriages (308) for November 2020 that is translated to a 58 percentage share to the region.  
• Ilocos Sur ranked second with the most number of registered marriages (82).
• La Union and Ilocos Norte followed with 73 and 64 registered marriages, respectively.

 Civil marriages highest in November 2020

• There were 293 registered marriages through Civil ceremonies for November 2020.  It is the highest number of registered marriages among other types of ceremony.
• Roman Catholic Church ceremonies followed at 137 registered marriages.
• No Muslim marriages were registered this month.

Teenage brides reached less than thirty this month

• There were 23 teenage brides who were registered this November 2020.
• The median age of brides based from the registered marriages this November 2020  was at 26 years old.  This means that half the number of brides was younger than  26 years old and half was older than 26 years old.
• The grooms had a median age of 28 years old. 
• Most brides belong in the age group 25 to 29, contributing 37 percent of the total number.
• The highest number of grooms was from the age group 25 to 29 that is 40 percent of the total number.  

Pangasinan covers 8 slots in the top 10 city/municipality with most registered marriages

• In Region I,  San Carlos City, Pangasinan ranked first with 27 registered marriages in November 2020.
• This was followed by Dagupan City, Pangasinan with 25 registered marriages then City Of Urdaneta, Pangasinan with 24, Malasiqui, Pangasinan with 22, and City of San Fernando, La Union with 15.
• Laoag City, Ilocos Norte with 14, Lingayen and Calasiao, Pangasinan followed with 14 and 11 registered marriages, respectively.
• In Ilocos Norte, municipality of Adams, Badoc, Carasi, Banna, Marcos, Nueva Era, Pagudpud, and Paoay recorded the least with one registered marriage.
• Banayoyo, Nagbukel, San Esteban, San Ildefonso, Suyo, and Tagudin, Ilocos Sur also recorded one marriage each for November 2020.
