ILOCOS REGION. As of 30 April 2023, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Regional Statistical Services Office I (RSSO I) and its Provincial Statistical Offices (PSOs) recorded 4,053,022 registrants under the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys). PSA-RSSO I continuously achieves inclusive PhilSys coverage and enables access to the program by the most vulnerable groups. Hence, from January to April 2023, the region registered additional 96,468 Filipinos in Ilocos Region.
The majority of the total PhilSys registrants in the region as of 30 April 2023 were from the province of Pangasinan which accounted 59 percent, followed by La Union which shared 16 percent, while Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte accounted for 14 and 11 percent, respectively.
PSA-RSSO I through its Provincial Statistical Offices continues to work on the frontlines for PhilSys registration as part of the agency’s continued commitment towards nation-building.
Meanwhile, Filipinos who are PhilSys registered are reminded to keep their transaction slips to serve as a reference in verifying the status of their PhilIDs at https://trn-verifier.philsys.gov.ph/.
On the other hand, Filipinos who wish to register with PhilSys may visit any registration center (https://www.philsys.gov.ph/registration-center/) and would no longer need to pre-register online. Walk-in applicants must bring any primary or secondary supporting documents during the registration.
