The Ilocos Region continued to demonstrate a positive momentum towards achieving a high registration output despite the challenges and struggles encountered by the PhilSys field personnel.
For January 2024, the region has recorded a total of 19, 311 individuals who have already registered for the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys). The province of Pangasinan contributed the highest number of registrants with a total of 8,035, followed by the province of Ilocos Sur with 4,699. The provinces of Ilocos Norte and La Union had totals of 3,953 and 2,624, respectively.
This accounts for an overall total of 4,210,824 for the entire region as of January 2024.
Despite not being able to meet the target for the reference month, there was a significant increase in the number of registrations recorded by the PSOs. This increase was brought by the ongoing informational campaigns that promote the use of PhillD/ePhillD. Likewise, PSOs are now encouraging individuals to use PhilSys Check as a tool to verify their identity.
PSA Field Offices will keep on performing PhilSys registration and other identification
services. These services will comprise ePhillD issuance, updating of demographic information, and delivery of Return-to-Sender (RTS) PhillDs, among others. The Philippine Statistics Authority aims to constantly provide all Filipinos with a valid proof of identification.
Filipinos who want to register with PhilSys can visit any registration center (https://www.philsvs.qov.ph/reqistration-center/) and no longer need to pre-register online. Walk-in applicants must bring any primary or secondary supporting documents during the registration.
PhilSys-registered individuals are advised to keep their transaction slips as a reference in verifying their PhillDs at https://trn-verifier.philsvs.qov.ph/.
