Household population comprises 100 percent of the total population

• As of 01 May 2020, Santol, La Union had a total population of 14,166 persons of which is comprised of the household population. This is 1.70 thousand lower than the 12,468 household population in 2015, and 2.17 thousand more than the 12.001 household population posted in 2010. (Table A)

Number of households increased by 0.54 thousand from 2.79 thousand in 2015 to 3.33 thousand in 2020

• The total number of households in Santol, La Union reached 3,325 in 2020. This is higher by 0.54 thousand compared with the 2,789 households in 2015 and by 0.64 thousand compared with 2,684 households in 2010. (Table B)

Two in every five households in the municipality are in Barangays Corrooy, Poblacion, and Paagan

• Among the 11 barangays of the municipality, Corrooy had the most number of households in 2020 with 576, followed by Poblacion with 426, and Paagan with 401. These three barangays comprised 42.20 percent of the total households in the municipality. The barangay of Sapdaan posted the least number of households with 96 households.

Average household size declines to 4.3 persons in 2020

• The average household size (AHS) of the municipality decreased from 4.5 persons in 2015 to 4.3 persons in 2020. In 2010, there were 4.5 persons, on average, per household. (Table C and Figure 1)

• Four out of 11 barangays posted an AHS higher than the municipality’s AHS of 4.3 persons.
