28 January 2022 – ILOCOS REGION. Atty. Sheila O. De Guzman, CPA is the newly appointed Regional Director (RD) of the Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Services Office I (PSA – RSSO I).

National Statistician and Civil Registrar General Undersecretary Claire Dennis S. Mapa administered the oath of office of RD Atty. Sheila O. De Guzman in a ceremony held at the PSA – RSSO I Conference Room.

Key Officials from PSA – Central Office (CO) and select officials and representatives from nearby Provincial Statistical Offices (PSO) in the region graced the activity in La Union. Local Civil Registrars in the region and other officials from the PSOs and CO witnessed the oath taking ceremony via videoconference.

Rising from the ranks, she began her career with then National Statistics Office in October 1998. She graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (with Latin honors – Cum Laude) and obtained her Master’s Degree in Business Administration at her alma mater, Saint Louis College. She then passed the Certified Public Accountants’ Licensure Examination in 2008. She pursued her Bachelor of Laws degree at the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University – Mid La Union Campus and hurdled the 2015 Philippine Bar Examinations.
