The Philippine Statistics Authority - Regional Statistical Services Office I (PSA – RSSO I) conducted the Authentication Services Seminar during the 2024 Joint PSA-CRAR 1 Year-End Assessment and Regional Strategic Planning Workshop on Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) at the Mines View Park Hotel in Baguio City on 17 December 2024.

A total of 50 participants attended the event which comprised of the Civil Registrars’ Association in Region 1 (CRAR 1) with 33 officers / members, and 17 PSA officials and civil registration focals.

Registration Officer III Christopher F. Flores of the Office of the Regional Director, spearheaded the seminar on the National ID Authentication Services Seminar. RO III Flores discussed the modes of Authentication offered by PSA, the e-Verify Platform and the on-boarding process for the applicants as relying parties. Further, the group also experienced first-hand through a demonstration on how the Authentication Services work through the eVerify platform. They tested the Tier 1 and the Tier 2 or the electronic know your customer (e-KYC) authentication modes.

The Group manifested and expressed their interest as RO III Flores beseeched their support by endorsing the Authentication Services to their respective Local Chief Executives. Civil Registrar Association of Region 1 President Lourdes Llamas, and CCR Lovely Milles of Alaminos City expressed their support to advocate for the National ID Authentication Services.
