As of 30 April 2025, the National ID team of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - La Union Provincial Statistical Office had successfully completed the Step 2 registration of 721,563 individuals in La Union.
Step 2 registration involves verifying demographic data and capturing biometric information such as fingerprints, iris scan, and front-facing photo.
A detailed breakdown of the number of registered individuals by city/municipality in La Union since its initial implementation in the first quarter of 2021 is presented in the table below.
Meanwhile, during the month of April 2025, PSA - La Union National ID team achieved the registration of 580 individuals in La Union, contributing to the total accumulated registration since its initial implementation. This accomplishment was made possible through mobile registration initiatives conducted every Saturday, participation in the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 1 caravan on April 29, 2025, in Duplas, Sudipen, La Union, and involvement in the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) – La Union's One-Stop-Shop Government Service in the City of San Fernando, La Union, as part of the 123rd Nationwide Labor Day celebration. Additionally, registration services continued on weekdays at the PSA-Regional Statistical Services Office I (RSSO I) Civil Registry System (CRS) outlet located at Parammata Bldg., Biday, City of San Fernando, La Union, and the Fix Registration Center (FRC) situated at Doña Pepita Building, Quezon Avenue, Brgy. II, City of San Fernando, La Union.
Other services offered by the National ID team included updating of existing National ID information (particularly correcting errors or reflecting changes in entries for registered individuals), issuing National ID in paper format, and assisting registered persons in accessing their Digital National ID via https://national-id.gov.ph/.
The National ID registration is open to individuals (5 years old and over) who are not yet registered to the Step 2 registration, which includes verifying of demographic data and capturing of biometric information such as fingerprints, iris scan, and front-facing photo. Additionally, the National ID also covers individuals aged 0 to 4 years old, whose demographic characteristics and front-facing photos will be collected.
