Mango
Ilocos Region was the top producing region on mango production in the country, sharing 23.3 percent of the total national production of 763,299 metric tons in 2024.

In 2024, Ilocos Region’s mango production was recorded at 177,876 metric tons. It is higher by 6.5 percent compared to the production of 167,060 metric tons in 2023. Production increase was observed in all the provinces of the region. Bulk of the regional output was recorded in Pangasinan with share of 69.5 percent or 123,601 metric tons. (Table 1)
Looking at figure 3, all mango varieties registered increased production. Mango carabao increased by 9,600 metric tons from the noted production of 133,863 metric tons in 2023. Meanwhile, the production of other varieties of mango in 2023 of 30,929 metric tons has increased by 864 metric tons, obtaining a production of 31,793 metric tons in 2024. As for the production of mango piko, it increased by 217 metric tons from 2,267 metric tons in 2023 to 2,484 metric tons in 2024.

Banana
The banana production in Ilocos Region was pegged at 44,494 metric tons in 2024, a decrease of 2.0 percent from the production in 2023 at 45,411 metric tons. All the provinces in the region, except Ilocos Sur, registered production decreases in 2024. The largest producer in the region was Pangasinan with an output of 15,317 metric tons, which contributed 34.4 percent to the regional output. This was followed by Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and La Union with shares of 25.6 percent (11,402 metric tons), 23.4 percent (10,404 metric tons), and 16.6 percent (7,372 metric tons), respectively. By variety, banana saba recorded the highest production with 22,765 metric tons, representing 51.2 percent of the total production in Ilocos Region. This was followed by banana latundan with a share of 35.8 percent equivalent to 15,921 metric tons, other varieties of banana and banana bungulan with shares of 7.8 percent or 3,487 metric tons and 3.8 percent or 1,674 metric tons, respectively. Meanwhile, banana lakatan had the least contribution of 1.4 percent or 645 metric tons.

Calamansi
Ilocos Region’s calamansi production in 2024 was recorded at 2,959 metric tons. This is 8 metric tons higher than the production in 2023 of 2,951 metric tons. (Table 1)
Among the four provinces, Ilocos Sur and Pangasinan pulled up the overall production by 13.1 percent, and 0.3 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, La Union, and Ilocos Norte recorded decreases in production.
The production in Ilocos Sur increased by 90 metric tons from the recorded production of 682 metric tons in 2023 to 772 metric tons in 2024. Furthermore, Pangasinan went up by three metric tons from 1,046 metric tons in 2023 to 1,049 metric tons in 2024. On the other hand, production in La Union, and Ilocos Norte dropped by 74 metric tons, and 11 metric tons, respectively.
