National Disability and Prevalence Survey (NDHS)/Model Functioning Survey (MFS)

The PSA conducted for the first time the 2016 Model Functioning Survey (MFS) in collaboration with the Department of Health (DOH), National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) and World Health Organization (WHO) which provided technical assistance. This survey provides detailed and nuanced information about how people conduct their lives and the difficulties they encounter regardless of any underlying health condition or impairment. The study helps the country identify the barriers that contribute to the problems that people encounter, which, in turn, help guide policy and service development; as well as contribute in monitoring the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
