The Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Services Office I (PSA RSSO I) will be launching the 2018 Census of Philippine Business and Industry (CPBI) and 2018 Input-Output Survey on Philippine Business and Industry (IOSPBI) on May 15, 2019 at Rose Bowl Steakhouse and Restaurant, MacArthur Highway, Pagdalagan Sur, Bauang, La Union.
Starting May 2019, the PSA will conduct the 2018 CPBI with the 2018 IOSPBI as its rider survey. The 2018 CPBI aims to collect and generate information on the levels, structure, performance and trends of economic activities of the formal sector of the economy in the entire country. On the other hand, the 2018 IOSPBI will collect detailed information on the revenue, expense and inventories by product of sample establishments covered in the 2018 CPBI.
The forum aims to gain support from Regional Line Agencies (RLAs), Local Government Units (LGUs), business associations, establishment managers, business groups, and the media for the successful implementation of the surveys.
The results of the 2016 Annual Survey on Philippine Business and Industry (ASPBI) and the conduct of 2018 Comprehensive Updating of the List of Establishments (ULE) will be presented for the appreciation of stakeholders and data providers. Moreover, the major concepts of the 2018 CPBI and 2018 IOSPBI will also be presented.
After the launching of 2018 CPBI and 2018 IOSPBI, the most cooperative establishments by province will be awarded. In addition, the best province implementer on the 2017 ASPBI, 2018 Quarterly Survey on Philippine Business and Industry (QSPBI), and 2018 Monthly Integrated Survey of Selected Industries (MISSI) will also be recognized.
